You may be familiar with Robert Kiyosaki's "Cash Flow Quadrant".  He explains that the E & S side of the quantrant represents the poor and middle class who work for money.  The B & I side are those who have other people and/or money working for them.

Considering the economy today with mergers and downsizing and jobs going overseas, jobs are definitely not secure any more.  The idea of having your own business is gaining in popularity.
